England - Yorkshire to Peak District

The village of Cromford, in Derbyshire, is very pretty and lies in the valley of the River Derwent. Cromford developed around Sir Richard Arkwright's mills as a purpose built industrial community. The cotton mill  ceased operation in the 1800s.
